E-challans are issued electronically against a vehicle's registration number or a driver's licence and appear in the Parivahan e-challan system. Unpaid challans can hold up an ownership transfer, an NOC or other RTO work. GurugramHelp helps you see what's pending, pay or contest it, and clear the record.
How do I check and pay an e-challan in Gurugram?
Search the Parivahan e-challan portal by vehicle number, challan number or DL number. Challans pending with the traffic authority can be paid online. Challans that have been sent to court follow the court’s process instead.
Common e-challan problems
- Challans for a vehicle you sold, because the buyer never completed the transfer
- A camera challan with the wrong registration number
- Paid challans still showing as pending
- Challans sent to court that you didn't know about
- Pending challans blocking an NOC or ownership transfer
Sold the vehicle but still getting challans?
Challans follow the registered owner. If you sold a vehicle and the buyer never completed the transfer, notices keep coming to you. Completing the ownership transfer is the lasting fix.
Contesting a wrong challan
If a challan doesn't belong to your vehicle, collect evidence, such as where the vehicle actually was or a photo showing a different plate, and raise it with the issuing authority or the court handling it. We can help you prepare the grievance.
How GurugramHelp helps
We check what's pending against the vehicle or licence, explain what each challan needs, and help you pay, contest or clear it before other RTO work.
Common questions
Will an unpaid e-challan stop me selling my vehicle?
Pending challans are commonly flagged when transfer and NOC applications are processed, so it's better to clear them first.
The challan shows a different vehicle. What can I do?
Gather evidence that your vehicle wasn't involved and raise a grievance with the issuing authority, or contest it before the court if it has been sent there.
Can I pay an e-challan online?
Challans pending with the traffic authority can generally be paid on the Parivahan e-challan portal. Challans already sent to court follow the court’s process.
